ENGLAND, Feb. 22, 2015 (AMP) — Premier League / Match day 26: After a 0-0 draw with West Ham on February 11, the Saints lost 2-0 against Liverpool.
Liverpool dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Brazilian midfielder Philippe Coutinho in the 3rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Reds further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Sterling in the 73rd minute.
Southampton are down in fifth place with 46 points from 26 games, one point behind Manchester United FC.
