Premier League (Week 16) : Newcastle beats Tottenham 2-1
ENGLAND, Dec. 13, 2015 (AMP) — Premier League / Match day 16: After two straigth draws against Chelsea and West Brom, the Spurs lost 2-1 against Newcastle.
Tottenham had started off well by taking the lead in the 39th minute with a goal by defender Eric Dier. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Magpies nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Mitrovic Aleksandar '74 and Pérez '90).
Tottenham Hotspur remains in fifth place with 26 points from 16 games, 3 points behind Manchester United FC.
