Premier League (Week 17) : Newcastle and Aston Villa play out 1-1 draw
ENGLAND, Dec. 19, 2015 (AMP) — Premier League / Match day 17: The match between Newcastle and Aston Villa ended in a 1-1 draw on Saturday.
Newcastle players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Argentine defender Fabricio Coloccini in the 38th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Aston Villa with a saving goal from Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew in the 61st minute.
Newcastle United are down in 17th place with 17 points from 17 games, tie on points with Norwich City.
