Premier League (Week 21) : Newcastle and Man Utd tied at 3-3

ENGLAND, Jan. 12, 2016 (AMP) — Premier League / Match day 21: Manchester United was held to a 3-3 draw by Newcastle on Tuesday.

Manchester United players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Rooney ('9 on penalty) and Lingard ('38) while Newcastle only scored once Wijnaldum Georginio ('42). However, even though they were leading 2-1 at half time, and despite Rooney goal ('79) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by Newcastle with goals by Mitrovic Aleksandar ('67 on penalty) and Paul Dummett ('90).

Manchester United FC remains in fifth place with 34 points from 21 games, 2 points behind Tottenham Hotspur, which has a game in hand.
