Premier League (Week 21) : Sunderland defeats Swansea 4-2

ENGLAND, Jan. 13, 2016 (AMP) — Premier League / Match day 21: Two wins in a row for Sunderland. After their 3-1 win against Aston Villa on January 2, the Rokerites continued their sensational form in the Premier League with a 4-2 victory over Swansea this Wednesday.

Jermain Defoe scored tripple goals

Swansea had started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Sigurðsson ('21 on penalty) and Ayew ('40), while Sunderland only scored once Defoe ('3). Trailing 2-1 at half time, the Rokerites nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Van Aanholt Patrick '49 and Defoe '61, '85).

Swansea City remains in 17th place with 19 points from 21 games, 2 points behind AFC Bournemouth.
