Premier League (Week 24) : Chelsea defeats Arsenal 3-1
ENGLAND, Feb. 4, 2017 (AMP) — Premier League / Match day 24: After their 1-1 draw against Liverpool on January 31, the Blues bounced back with a 3-1 victory over Arsenal this Saturday.
Chelsea dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Spanish defender Marcos Alonso in the 13th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Blues further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Hazard '53 and Fàbregas '85).
Chelsea remains in first place with 59 points from 24 games, a 12-point lead over runner-up Tottenham Hotspur, which has a game in hand.
