PORTUGAL, Aug. 30, 2014 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 3: Three wins in a row for Vitoria Guimaraes. After their success against Gil Vicente and Penafiel, the Vimaranenses continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 3-0 victory over Belenenses this Saturday.
Vitoria Guimaraes dominated the first half thanks to goals from André ('26) and Tomane ('39). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Vimaranenses further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Alex in the 58th minute.
Vitoria SC climbed to first place with 9 points from 3 games, a 3-point lead over runner-up Rio Ave FC, which has a game in hand.
