Primeira Liga (Week 5) : Benfica beats Moreirense 3-1
PORTUGAL, Sep. 21, 2014 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 5: Two wins in a row for Benfica. After their 0-5 win against Vitoria Setubal on September 12, the Eagles continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 3-1 victory over Moreirense this Sunday.
Moreirense had started off well by taking the lead in the 16th minute with a goal by forward Pedro. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Eagles nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Eliseu '69, Pereira '77 and Lima '83 on penalty).
SL Benfica climbed to first place with 13 points from 5 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up Vitoria SC.
