PORTUGAL, Sep. 21, 2014 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 5: After their 1-1 draw against Benfica on September 13 and 1-1 draw against Belenenses on September 13, the Sportinguistas returned to winning ways with a 4-0 victory over Gil Vicente this Sunday.
Sporting Lisbon dominated the first half thanks to goals from Silva ('10) and Nani ('12). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Sportinguistas further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Slimani '69 and Carrillo '84).
Sporting Clube de Portugal climbed to 6th place with 9 points from 5 games, only one point behind CF Os Belenenses.
