Primeira Liga (Week 15) : Rio Ave beats Paços de Ferreira 2-1
PORTUGAL, Jan. 3, 2015 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 15: After three straigth draws, Rio Grande returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Paços de Ferreira this Saturday.
Rio Ave dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Egyptian forward Hassan in the 43rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Rio Grande further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Moreira in the 50th minute.
Rio Ave FC climbed to 6th place with 23 points from 15 games, 4 points behind Sporting Clube de Portugal, which has a game in hand.
