Primeira Liga (Week 22) : Benfica defeats Moreirense 3-1
PORTUGAL, Feb. 21, 2015 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 22: Two wins in a row for Benfica. After their 3-0 win against Vitoria Setubal on February 15, the Eagles continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 3-1 victory over Moreirense this Saturday.
Moreirense had started off well by taking the lead in the 35th minute with a goal by forward Pedro. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Eagles nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Luisao '58, Eliseu '65 and Jonas '73).
SL Benfica remains in first place with 56 points from 22 games, a 7-point lead over runner-up FC Porto, which has a game in hand.
