Primeira Liga (Week 23) : Moreirense defeats Penafiel 2-1
PORTUGAL, Mar. 1, 2015 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 23: After losing 1-3 to Benfica on February 21, the Verdes-e-Brancos returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Penafiel this Sunday.
Penafiel had started off well by taking the lead in the 11th minute with a goal by forward Guedes on penalty. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Verdes-e-Brancos nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Cunha '50 on penalty and Bura '61 own).
Moreirense FC climbed to 10th place with 28 points from 23 games, only one point behind Rio Ave FC.
