Primeira Liga (Week 24) : Sporting beats Penafiel 3-2
PORTUGAL, Mar. 9, 2015 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 24: After losing 3-0 to Porto on March 1, the Sportinguistas returned to winning ways with a 3-2 victory over Penafiel this Monday.
Two goals for both sides during the first half, Carvalho (5e) and Slimani (7e) for Sporting Lisbon, Braga (12e) and Bruno (42e) for Penafiel. After the break, the Sportinguistas settled the issue with another goal courtesy of midfielder Nani in the 70th minute.
Sporting Clube de Portugal remains in third place with 50 points from 24 games, 8 points behind FC Porto.
