Primeira Liga (Week 21) : Benfica defeats Belenenses 5-0
PORTUGAL, Feb. 5, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 21: 8 wins in a row for Benfica. After their success against Rio Ave, Vitoria Guimaraes, Maritimo, Nacional, Estoril, Arouca and Moreirense, the Eagles continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 5-0 victory over Belenenses this Friday.
Mitroglou Kostas scored tripple goals
Benfica dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Mitroglou Kostas in the 41st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Eagles further widened their lead in the second period by scoring four times (Jonas Oliveira '53, '87 and Mitroglou Kostas '58, '76).
SL Benfica climbed to first place with 52 points from 21 games, one point ahead of runner-up Sporting Clube de Portugal, which has a game in hand.
