PORTUGAL, Feb. 13, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 22: After their 0-0 draw against Rio Ave on February 8, the Sportinguistas returned to winning ways with a 4-0 victory over Nacional this Saturday.
Islam Slimani scored dual goals
Sporting Lisbon dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Algerian forward Islam Slimani in the 3rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Sportinguistas further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Silva Adrien '52/penalty, Mario Joao '63 and Slimani '86/penalty).
Sporting Clube de Portugal climbed to first place with 55 points from 22 games, a 3-point lead over runner-up SL Benfica.
