Primeira Liga (Week 3) : Benfica defeats Nacional 3-1
PORTUGAL, Aug. 27, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 3: After their 1-1 draw against Vitoria Setubal on August 21, the Eagles bounced back with a 3-1 victory over Nacional this Saturday.
Benfica dominated the first half as a result of the unfortunate own goal scored by Egyptian defender Ali Ghazal in the 17th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Eagles further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Carrillo Andre '69 and Jimenez Raul '90).
SL Benfica climbed to first place with 7 points from 3 games, tie on points with runner-up SG Braga.
