Primeira Liga (Week 4) : Benfica beats Arouca 2-1
PORTUGAL, Sep. 9, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 4: Two wins in a row for Benfica. After their 1-3 win against Nacional on August 27, the Eagles continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 2-1 victory over Arouca this Friday.
Benfica dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Semedo Nelsinho in the 16th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Eagles further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Lopez Lisandro in the 51st minute.
SL Benfica climbed to first place with 10 points from 4 games, one point ahead of runner-up Sporting Clube de Portugal, which has a game in hand.
