PORTUGAL, Mar. 31, 2017 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 27: Two wins in a row for Vitoria Guimaraes. After their 3-0 win against Rio Ave on March 19, the Vimaranenses continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 2-1 victory over Nacional this Friday.
Vitoria Guimaraes dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Miranda Rafael in the 25th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Vimaranenses further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Teixeira David with just 5 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Vitoria SC climbed to fourth place with 47 points from 27 games, 7 points behind Sporting Clube de Portugal, which has a game in hand.
