Primeira Liga (Week 29) : Sporting defeats Setubal 3-0
PORTUGAL, Apr. 14, 2017 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 29: Five wins in a row for Sporting Lisbon. After their success against Tondela, Nacional, Arouca and Boavista, the Sportinguistas continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 3-0 victory over Vitoria Setubal this Friday.
Sporting Lisbon dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Martins Gelson in the 20th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Sportinguistas further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Carvalho William '55 and Dost Bas '61).
Sporting Clube de Portugal remains in third place with 63 points from 29 games, 4 points behind FC Porto, which has a game in hand.
