Primeira Liga (Week 30) : Sporting and Benfica play out 1-1 draw
PORTUGAL, Apr. 22, 2017 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 30: The match between actual leader Benfica and Sporting Lisbon ended in a frustrating 1-1 draw on Saturday.
Sporting Lisbon players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Sporting Lisbon midfielder Silva Adrien on penalty in the 5th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Benfica with a saving goal from Swedish defender Lindelof Victor in the 66th minute.
SL Benfica remains in first place with 72 points from 30 games, a 4-point lead over runner-up FC Porto, which has a game in hand.
