Primeira Liga (Week 25) : Benfica defeats Belenenses 4-0
PORTUGAL, Mar. 13, 2017 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 25: 6 wins in a row for Benfica. After their success against Nacional, Arouca, Braga, Chaves and Feirense, the Eagles continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 4-0 victory over Belenenses this Monday.
Benfica dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by defender André Almeida in the 12th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Eagles further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Mitroglou Kostas '52, Salvio '60 and Jonas Oliveira '90).
SL Benfica remains in first place with 63 points from 25 games, one point ahead of runner-up FC Porto.
