Primeira Liga (Week 24) : Belenenses beats Chaves 2-1
PORTUGAL, Mar. 5, 2017 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 24: Two wins in a row for Belenenses. After their 1-2 win against Arouca on February 27, O Belém continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 2-1 victory over Chaves this Sunday.
Chaves had started off well by taking the lead in the 45th minute with a goal by forward Tiba Pedro. Trailing 1-0 at half time, O Belém nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Maurides Junior '71 and Caeiro Tiago '90).
GD Chaves remains in 7th place with 32 points from 24 games, 5 points behind CS Maritimo.
