PORTUGAL, Mar. 6, 2017 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 24: After their 0-0 draw against Paços de Ferreira on February 25, Rio Grande returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Estoril this Monday.
Rio Ave dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Guedes Helder in the 20th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Rio Grande further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Dias Gil in stoppage time.
Rio Ave FC climbed to 8th place with 32 points from 24 games, tie on points with GD Chaves.
