Primeira Liga (Week 23) : Sporting beats Estoril 2-0
PORTUGAL, Feb. 25, 2017 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 23: Three wins in a row for Sporting Lisbon. After their success against Moreirense and Rio Ave, the Sportinguistas continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 2-0 victory over Estoril this Saturday.
Sporting Lisbon dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Ruiz Bryan in the 22nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Sportinguistas further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Dost on penalty with just 4 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Sporting Clube de Portugal remains in third place with 47 points from 23 games, 6 points behind FC Porto, which has a game in hand.
