Primeira Liga (Week 12) : Rio Ave beats Tondela 3-1
PORTUGAL, Dec. 3, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 12: Two wins in a row for Rio Ave. After their 0-1 win against Vitoria Setubal on November 25, Rio Grande continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 3-1 victory over Tondela this Saturday.
Rio Ave dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Yazalde in the 29th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Rio Grande further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Dias Gil '61 and Augusto Filipe '90).
Rio Ave FC climbed to 6th place with 17 points from 12 games, 3 points behind Vitoria SC, which has a game in hand.
