PORTUGAL, Dec. 2, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 12: After a 3-0 victory over Moreirense on November 27, the Eagles lost 2-1 against Maritimo.
Ghazaryan Gevorg opened the score in the 5th minute, before seeing Benfica catch up in the 27th minute thanks to Semedo Nelsinho. 1-1 at half time. The Verde-Rubros eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Antonio Mauricio in the 69th minute.
SL Benfica remains in first place with 29 points from 12 games, a 5-point lead over runner-up Sporting Clube de Portugal, which has a game in hand.
