Primeira Liga (Week 11) : Rio Ave beats Estoril 2-0
PORTUGAL, Nov. 4, 2017 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 11: After losing 1-0 to Feirense on October 27 and 0-1 to Sporting Lisbon on October 27, Rio Grande bounced back with a 2-0 victory over Estoril this Saturday.
Rio Ave dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Novais Joao in the 42nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Rio Grande further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Guedes Helder with just 4 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Rio Ave FC climbed to 6th place with 17 points from 11 games, 2 points behind CS Maritimo, which has a game in hand.
