Primeira Liga (Week 11) : Benfica defeats Guimaraes 3-1
PORTUGAL, Nov. 5, 2017 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 11: Three wins in a row for Benfica. After their success against Aves and Feirense, the Eagles continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 3-1 victory over Vitoria Guimaraes this Sunday.
Benfica dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Brazilian forward Jonas Oliveira in the 22nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Eagles further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Samaris '76 and Salvio '79).
SL Benfica remains in third place with 26 points from 11 games, tie on points with Sporting Clube de Portugal, which has a game in hand.
