PORTUGAL, Oct. 27, 2017 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 10: Two wins in a row for Sporting Lisbon. After their 5-1 win against Chaves on October 22, the Sportinguistas continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 1-0 victory over Rio Ave this Friday.
Rio Ave made Sporting Lisbon doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Dutch forward Bas Dost with just 5 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Sporting Clube de Portugal climbed to first place with 26 points from 10 games, one point ahead of runner-up FC Porto, which has a game in hand.
