SPAIN, Sep. 6, 2014 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 3: After a 1-1 draw with Zaragoza on August 30, the Gorritxoak lost 3-1 against Alavés.
Alavés dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Cerda in the 13th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Babazorros further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Velez '50 and Migue '52).
Deportivo Alavés climbed to fourth place with 5 points from 3 games, only one point behind Girona FC, which has a game in hand.
