Segunda division (Week 3) : Albacete and Gijon tied at 1-1
SPAIN, Sep. 6, 2014 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 3: Sporting Gijon was held to a 1-1 draw by Albacete on Saturday.
Albacete players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Diaz in the 43rd minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Sporting Gijon with a saving goal from Perez in the 90th minute.
Real Sporting de Gijon climbed to first place with 7 points from 3 games, one point ahead of runner-up Real Betis, which has a game in hand.
