Segunda division (Week 4) : Gijon and Girona tied at 1-1
SPAIN, Sep. 14, 2014 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 4: The match between Girona and Sporting Gijon ended in a frustrating 1-1 draw on Sunday.
Sporting Gijon players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Alvarez in the 45th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Girona with a saving goal from Junca in the 90th minute.
Girona FC are down in second place with 10 points from 4 games, tie on points with UD Las Palmas.
