Segunda division (Week 5) : Gijon beats Mirandés 2-0
SPAIN, Sep. 20, 2014 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 5: After their 1-1 draw against Albacete on September 14 and 1-1 draw against Girona on September 14, Los Rojiblancos returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Mirandés this Saturday.
Perez scored dual goals
Sporting Gijon dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Perez in the 42nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Rojiblancos further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Perez in the 60th minute.
Real Sporting de Gijon climbed to first place with 11 points from 5 games, one point ahead of runner-up UD Las Palmas, which has a game in hand.
