Segunda division (Week 3) : Elche defeats Tenerife 3-1
SPAIN, Sep. 3, 2016 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 3: After losing 3-1 to Girona on August 27, Los Franjiverdes returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Tenerife this Saturday.
Elche dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Hervias Pablo in the 3rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Franjiverdes further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Pedro Antonio '69/penalty and Fraile Hugo '90).
Elche CF climbed to third place with 6 points from 3 games, tie on points with Levante UD, which has a game in hand.
