SPAIN, Sep. 3, 2016 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 3: After their 0-0 draw against Rayo Vallecano on August 28, Los Pucelanos returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Girona this Saturday.
Valladolid dominated the first half thanks to goals from Lichnovsky Igor ('4) and Mata Jaime ('17 on penalty). Leading 2-0 at the break, Los Pucelanos further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by in the th minute.
Real Valladolid climbed to first place with 7 points from 3 games, one point ahead of runner-up Levante UD, which has a game in hand.
