Segunda division (Week 4) : Girona and Almeria play out 3-3 draw
SPAIN, Sep. 11, 2016 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 4: The match between Girona and Almeria ended in a 3-3 draw on Sunday.
Girona players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Pons Pere ('39) and Sandaza Fran ('41) while Almeria only scored once Gonzalez Quique ('29). However, even though they were leading 2-1 at half time, and despite Longo Samuele goal ('83) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by Almeria with goals by Puertas Antonio ('47) and Fidel Chaves ('78).
Girona FC remains in 7th place with 4 points from 3 games, one point behind AD Alcorcon.
