SPAIN, Sep. 25, 2016 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 7: After their 1-1 draw against Mirandés on September 22, the Blanquivermells bounced back with a 2-0 victory over Getafe this Sunday.
Girona dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Longo Samuele in the 15th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Blanquivermells further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Alcaraz Ruben in the 71st minute.
Girona FC climbed to 6th place with 8 points from 6 games, only one point behind Elche CF.
