Segunda division (Week 26) : Oviedo beats Getafe 2-1
SPAIN, Feb. 19, 2017 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 26: Three wins in a row for Real Oviedo. After their success against Mallorca and Mirandés, the Carbayones continued their sensational form in the Segunda division with a 2-1 victory over Getafe this Sunday.
Real Oviedo dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Toche Jose in the 17th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Carbayones further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Erice Jon seconds before the end of regulation.
Real Oviedo climbed to third place with 35 points from 22 games, 3 points behind Girona FC, which has a game in hand.
