Serie A (Week 17) : Empoli defeats Bologna 3-2
ITALY, Dec. 19, 2015 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 17: Four wins in a row for Empoli. After their success against Lazio, Hellas Verona and Carpi, the Azzurri continued their sensational form in the Serie A with a 3-2 victory over Bologna this Saturday.
Massimo Maccarone scored dual goals
Two goals for both sides during the first half, Pucciarelli (24e) and Maccarone (42e) for Bologna, Brienza (36e) and Destro (45e) for Empoli. After the break, the Azzurri settled the issue with another goal courtesy of striker Massimo Maccarone in the 48th minute.
Empoli FC climbed to 6th place with 27 points from 17 games, 2 points behind AS Roma, which has a game in hand.
