Serie A (Week 23) : Roma defeats Sassuolo 2-0
ITALY, Feb. 2, 2016 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 23: Two wins in a row for AS Roma. After their 3-1 win against Frosinone on January 30, the Giallorossi continued their sensational form in the Serie A with a 2-0 victory over Sassuolo this Tuesday.
AS Roma dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Salah in the 11th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Giallorossi further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by El Shaarawy Stephan in stoppage time.
AS Roma climbed to fourth place with 41 points from 23 games, only one point behind ACF Fiorentina, which has a game in hand.
