Serie A (Week 23) : Fiorentina beats Carpi 2-1
ITALY, Feb. 3, 2016 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 23: After their 0-0 draw against Genoa on January 31, the Viola returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Carpi this Wednesday.
Fiorentina dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Spanish midfielder Borja Valero in the 2nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Viola further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Zárate in stoppage time.
ACF Fiorentina remains in third place with 45 points from 23 games, 6 points behind Juventus.
