Serie A (Week 35) : Juve defeats Fiorentina 2-1
ITALY, Apr. 24, 2016 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 35: 9 wins in a row for Juventus. After their success against Inter Milan, Atalanta, Sassuolo, Torino, Empoli, AC Milan, Palermo and Lazio, La Vecchia Signora continued their sensational form in the Serie A with a 2-1 victory over Fiorentina this Sunday.
Juventus dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Croatian forward Mario Mandžukić in the 39th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, La Vecchia Signora further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Morata with just 7 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Juventus remains in first place with 85 points from 35 games, a 12-point lead over runner-up Napoli, which has a game in hand.
