ITALY, Sep. 26, 2016 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 6: After losing 4-0 to Juventus on September 21, the Rossoblu bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Sampdoria this Monday.
Cagliari dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Portuguese midfielder Pedro Joao in the 37th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Rossoblu further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Melchiorri Federico with just 2 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Cagliari climbed to 13rd place with 7 points from 6 games, only one point behind ACF Fiorentina, which has a game in hand.
