Serie A (Week 9) : Samp beats Genoa 2-1
ITALY, Oct. 22, 2016 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 9: After their 1-1 draw against Palermo on October 15 and 1-1 draw against Pescara on October 15, the Blucerchiati returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Genoa this Saturday.
Sampdoria forward Muriel Luis opened the score in the 12th minute, before seeing Genoa catch up in the 24th minute thanks to Luca Rigoni. 1-1 at half time. The Blucerchiati eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Izzo into his own net in the 47th minute.
Genoa CFC remains in 9th place with 12 points from 8 games, one point behind Cagliari.
