Serie A (Week 35) : Napoli beats Cagliari 3-1
ITALY, May. 6, 2017 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 35: Two wins in a row for Napoli. After their 0-1 win against Inter Milan on April 30, the Partenopei continued their sensational form in the Serie A with a 3-1 victory over Cagliari this Saturday.
Napoli dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Belgian forward Dries Mertens in the 2nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Partenopei further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Tonelli '49 and Insigne '67).
Napoli climbed to second place with 77 points from 35 games, 7 points behind Juventus, which has a game in hand.
