Serie B (Week 20) : Spezia and Lanciano play out 3-3 draw
ITALY, Dec. 24, 2014 (AMP) — Serie B / Match day 20: The match between Virtus Lanciano and Spezia ended in a frustrating 3-3 draw on Wednesday.
Spezia players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Giannetti ('12) and Catellani ('29, '43) while Virtus Lanciano only scored twice Grossi ('32) and Piccolo ('36). However, even though they were leading 3-2 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Virtus Lanciano with a saving goal from Monachello in the 61st minute.
Virtus Lanciano are down in fifth place with 30 points from 20 games, one point behind Bologna FC 1909.
