Serie B (Week 20) : Pescara beats Varese 2-0
ITALY, Dec. 24, 2014 (AMP) — Serie B / Match day 20: After their 0-0 draw against Avellino on December 20 and 2-2 draw against Perugia on December 20, the Delfini bounced back with a 2-0 victory over Varese this Wednesday.
Pescara dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Maniero in the 4th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Delfini further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Melchiorri in the 51st minute.
Pescara Calcio climbed to 13rd place with 25 points from 20 games, only one point behind AC Perugia.
