ITALY, Jan. 31, 2015 (AMP) — Serie B / Match day 24: After losing 0-1 to Carpi on January 24, the Leopardi returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Virtus Lanciano this Saturday.
Varese dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Lupoli in the 23rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Leopardi further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Capezzi in the 74th minute.
Virtus Lanciano remains in 6th place with 34 points from 24 games, one point behind Frosinone Calcio.
