ITALY, Sep. 10, 2016 (AMP) — Serie B / Match day 3: After a 1-1 draw with Salernitana on September 4, the Gialloblu lost 2-0 against Benevento.
Benevento dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Falco Filippo in the 38th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Stregoni further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Ciciretti Amato with just 8 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Benevento Calcio climbed to second place with 7 points from 3 games, 2 points behind AS Cittadella.
