Serie B (Week 3) : Cittadella beats Pro Vercelli 5-1
ITALY, Sep. 10, 2016 (AMP) — Serie B / Match day 3: Three wins in a row for Cittadella. After their success against Bari and Ternana, Citta continued their sensational form in the Serie B with a 5-1 victory over Pro Vercelli this Saturday.
Cittadella dominated the first half thanks to goals from Arrighini Andrea ('34) and Iori Manuel ('42 on penalty). Leading 2-0 at the break, Citta further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Chiaretti Lucas '54, Litteri Gianluca '62 and Strizzolo Luca '83).
AS Cittadella remains in first place with 9 points from 3 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up Benevento Calcio.
